🧱 How to Upgrade or Downgrade Your Server Plan

Need more RAM, CPU power, or storage for your Minecraft server?
MineRack makes it simple to upgrade or downgrade your plan directly through your billing portal, without losing any files or configurations.

Whether you want to boost performance or move to a smaller plan, this guide walks you through every step.

⚙️ Where to Manage Your Plan

All upgrades and downgrades are done through your Billing Account (WHMCS) at
👉 billing.minerack.fun

This is the same place where you purchased your MineRack server.

🚀 How to Upgrade Your Server Plan

Upgrading increases your server’s performance — perfect if you’re adding more players, plugins, or mods.

Steps:

  1. Login to your Billing Accountbilling.minerack.fun

  2. Click on Services → My Services

  3. Find your active Minecraft server and click View Details

  4. Under the Actions menu, select Upgrade/Downgrade

  5. Choose your new plan or tier (e.g., Budget → Premium, or higher RAM plan)

  6. Review the pricing difference and click Continue

  7. Complete the payment (if upgrading mid-cycle, you’ll only pay the difference)

✅ Once payment is confirmed, the new resources are automatically applied to your server.

📉 How to Downgrade Your Plan

Downgrading reduces your resource limits and monthly cost.
Before downgrading, make sure your current server usage fits within the new plan.

Steps:

  1. Login to billing.minerack.fun

  2. Go to Services → My Services → View Details

  3. Click Upgrade/Downgrade

  4. Select a lower plan tier

  5. Review and confirm the downgrade at the next renewal date

⚠️ Important: Downgrades are usually applied at the end of your billing cycle to avoid data loss or interruptions.

💾 What Happens to Your Server Data

Your Minecraft world, files, and configurations remain completely safe during both upgrades and downgrades.

  • No reinstallation required

  • No data loss

  • No need to change IP or re-upload files

MineRack’s system automatically adjusts resources without affecting your saved content.

🧠 Pro Tip

If you’re running into TPS drops or lag spikes, upgrading to a Premium Series plan can give up to 40% more CPU performance, DDR5 RAM, and enterprise-grade DDoS protection — perfect for heavy modpacks or public servers.
